Mexico's online creator community is mourning the death of César Gastélum, a popular TikTok influencer who was shot and killed while livestreaming outside a fast-food restaurant in Culiacán, Sinaloa. The attack, captured in real time, has renewed concerns about escalating violence in one of Mexico's most dangerous regions and the growing risks faced by public figures on social media.
